Where did you grow up and what was it like?

I'm from Scotland. My dad was a farmer and my mom was a nurse. While not feeling like we were wealthy, we never missed out on anything. My family always made financial decisions by first analyzing the data. We never made snap decisions based on gut feelings.

What keeps you motivated?

Helping smart and successful people finally get a handle on how the activities they do today can provide for them later in life. Providing a sense of purpose to those savings and investment commitments becomes a very powerful factor in their lives.

What inspired you to begin a career in the financial industry and why?

I felt like I had a logical mind for money management and caring for people. I liked the idea of using those skills to serve people and help guide them towards greater success in life.

What do you enjoy most about your job and why?

I enjoy being able to impact people in a life-changing way and providing clarity around their future outcomes. People appreciate how we can take something off their plate that can be time-consuming and confusing. I like that I can treat people well and provide solutions to a problem. My success is dictated by how well we do together.

What role do you take during client interactions?

By getting to know our client relationships intimately we can learn so much about them. The more we know, the better we can tailor a vision of the future that matches their ambitions.
